At what stage of my home renovation should I get marble polishing done?


I am getting my house painted, when should I get my marble floors polished, before or after the painting?

In case of old marble, if you are going for a complete marble diamond restoration process, we recommend the work be done before your final quote of paint.

Once polished, we further recommend the floors be covered while the painter applies his final quote of paint. This covering will protect your newly polished marble flooring from getting scratched and from staining.

Once completed, the covering can be removed and the floors buffed.




You can then enjoy freshly painted walls and sparkling marble floors.

Super shine with diamond impregnated pads vs super shine with diamond pads

A super shine is a marble maintenance process . If you have marble floors that have become dull, have scuff marks, minor scratches on the surface of the marble and lacks lustre, you can go for a ‘super shine’ process to restore shine . Under the ‘super shine’ process we have two options, one which uses diamond impregnated pads and one which uses diamond pads. The difference between the two lies in the fact that the super shine with diamond pads is a superior process as it gives a sharper shine and is better at removing scratches. Once your marble has been diamond polished, you can opt for a yearly, top - up polishing service called 'Super Shine'. Often with footfall, use of water to clean the floors, moving of furniture, dirt from outside which travels on your marble floors, they can look a little dull over time. A 'super shine' removes dirt, scruff marks, and scratches which are on the top level of the marble and restores its original shine. This process uses the last 3/4 steps of the diamond polishing sequence to achieve results. Diamond impregnates pads are used along with polishing compound. Getting a super shine done for marble has several benefits: It is maintenance services which will make the polish last longer, reducing the need for getting diamond polish done.
